Maybe it was the difference in specific dorms, but there was something...different about the Turtle rooms. When he'd been a student before, he'd been hauled up in Phoenix rooms, since those were the only kind that had provided any sort of disabled access. The jump from one class to the other was minor, but still noticeable.

Most of his stuff was jammed into three large suitcases, divided by purpose. One for clothes, one for equipment and personal belongings, and one for general tat that could function communally. He'd been given a dorm number and a time with which it was preferred he show up. The prospect of moving back into Shenhua sphere of influence wasn't something he found comfortable, but one he would have to deal with.

His car was parked where it wouldn't get clamped or fined – a two minutes walk, which wasn't too bad. Two of his suitcases were still inside, only able to drag one, slowly, up to the specified dorm. Quiyue's engineers had been thorough with his upgrades, as they called it. It moved fluidly, its sensors perhaps set too high. Neither did it prevent his need for a cane – the limp, he'd now decided, was psychosomatic.

Isaiah knocked on the door with the cane, other hand full of suitcase, and twisted the lock with his power. It felt like nothing. The ruffle of a single leaf in a giant arboreal forest. Having a real body was proving stranger than he first thought.

Stepping into the confines of the dorm provided him with roughly 2 seconds of calm before his room-mate introduced himself with a flurry of loud, metal banging noises and long, draw out hisses from whatever ghastly machine the guy had engineered. The banner fluttered, screaming out to him like a red flag.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Isaiah hauled the suitcase through the doorway. “You have too much spare time,” he commented, eyes drawn to contraption that had spawned such a vast array of alcohol and food. “What's your deal? Technopath or something?” Was that something Shenhua did now? Dorm supers with other supers with similar powers?
