[attr="class","engl"]waiting for the darkness  [attr="class","cont"]there wasn't too ahh these two could be so much fun o3o if ritsuo feels indebted to hayate for getting him uh...'unlost' so to speak. i could see hayate leading the lost inu yokai back to his hut and wrapping up some bread and apples etc for him to take, and as hayate is going about pointing ritsuo in the right direction, ritsuo is trying to start up a conversation with the curious mara, unphased by the very brief responses he gets.
as for ritsuo coming back to make sure he's okay and trying to connect with him that way, yeah. hayate would absolutely become more attatched to him to the point he might be able to talk more and fell more comfortable in his presence than with others. if ritsuo ever needed food he could probably count on hayate to be around to help! [attr="class","engl"]waiting for the darkness [attr="class","cont"]there wasn't too if hachirou is more of the wandering around, undisturbed by the curious child then they'd have qute the interesting relationship. whenever hachirouis doing his thing and minding his own business, at some point he can bet hayate is going to show up. maybe just watching from afar, interested but too nervous to approach, to straight-up handing hachirou herbs he's having a hard time finding, seeing as hayate lives in the woods and knows them pretty well.
that being said, hayate would have no idea what they are for, and after a few encounter would even ask hachirou what he uses them for. though the conversation might not go on beyond a few exchanges, they would probably develope a very mellow relationship which is mutually beneficial.
